In December of 1952, Vapo Butane was purchased by Eugene and Mary Louise Sidlo from the Tommy Jung Estate.

The company was located in the Schroeder Building which is on the corner of Adams and North Main. Eugene Sidlo became the salesman and gas delivery man. Cora Habenicht was the secretary and Elisa (Red) Klaerner was the service man. Throughout the years, there have been many faithful and able employees.

After a short time, the location was moved to two different locations in South Llano.

Reeh Butane was purchased and soon merged with Vapo Butane.

Approximately 10 years ago, a building at 1201 East Main was purchased from the Borchers Estate and Vapo Butane moved to that address, where it remains. The business was incorporated and became Vapo Propane, Inc.

Eugene Sidlo is the President, Thomas R. Sidlo is the Vice-President and Mary Louis Sidlo is the Secretary of the coporation. There are four other employees.

Storage facilities are located at two convenient locations.
